The holiday rush is in full swing as we finish shopping, attend holiday events, and wrap up last minute preparations.
Here are a couple of super easy crafts that the kids can do while you address that last Christmas card:
Sweet Cereal Candy Cane
Supplies:
cheerios or fruit loops (any O shaped cereal), pipe cleaner (chenille stem)
How to:
- Make a small spiral at the end of the pipe cleaner to hold the cereal in place
- Bend it into a candy cane shape
- String cereal onto the pipe cleaner, make another small spiral on the opposite end to hold the cereal in place:
A Christmas Card
Supplies:
Card-stock (any heavy paper), hole punch, yarn, crayon/markers, stickers, pipe cleaner (chenille stem)
How to:
- Using a pipe cleaner about 1.5 inches long, create ‘needle’ by making a small loop in one end
- Punch holes around the edge of the paper
- Use the pipe cleaner ‘needle’ to lace the yarn through the holes
- Decorate with stickers, markers, crayons
Enjoy the season! Let go of non-essentials and cherish your moments together!
