Celebrate the New Year with your children! Create some easy DIY party hats for preschoolers out of simple supplies.
You need:
- construction paper or cardstock paper
- stapler
- tape
- gluestick
- scissors
- hole punch (optional)
- crayons or markers
Make confetti using a paper punch or by snipping strips of paper:
Decorate a piece of paper using the confetti, markers, or crayons. Focus on the top 3/4 of the paper:
Cut a couple of rough circles:
Then cut the circles in a spiral. It doesn’t have to perfect, and it is very festive:
They will look like this when you are finished:
Tape the end of the spirals to back side of the top center point of the hat. The curls of the spiral will come out the top of the hat:
Staple the sides to make a cone, party hat shape:
Finish by cutting the bottom of the hat into a circular shape using decorative scissors or regular ones. It will look like this!
Have fun celebrating the New Year together!
